Manifesto Project
As it happens, I’ve been working on a manifesto for quite some time. I want it to be the backbone of open-source marketing theory, the pivotal document — the ortho doxis if you want to get medieval about it. In other words, when someone asks about open-source marketing theory, I want this manifesto to be the document of reference.
But writing this thing is a lot harder than I thought it would be. I don’t know how Martin Luther did it.
It’s not the writing that’s the problem; I’ve had a draft of this thing done for weeks. But putting it all together in a way that does it justice — from a graphic design standpoint, I mean — is really beyond my skill set.
So here’s what I need. I need for you to recommend a good graphic designer. I want someone who is professional; and let’s pretend for the moment that money is no object. (It is, but I’ll explain in a minute.) I want you to recommend me the best of the best. And I want you to email me that person’s contact info.
Once I’ve sifted through all the designers and figured out which one best suits the manifesto’s needs, I’m going to start a Kickstarter project to fund the design. Why? For two reasons. First, it’s just not in my budget. Second, good design deserves good pay, and too few freelance designers are compensated adequately for their work. I refuse to buy into that system.
I’m working out the details of what comes with a donation to the Kickstarter project. But rest assured, it’s going to be awesome.
Do you know an awesome graphic designer? Send me his or her contact info here.
